These are some rats that may need rehoming. maybe I can help.
We shall see.
>> Thank you everybody. I am awaiting a reply from Kelly to see if I can surrender the two she said I could place with her after rodentfest. Here is the promised information about these creatures.
This is a photo of Oreo. She is a small adult female. I took her in from a girl in brooklyn who was desperate to home her after having her "dumped" on her by a friend of hers. She does not bite. She is a fraidy-cat. Running in the wodent wheel and moving food around to hide them from the other is her favorite activities. She has no known illnesses. When I took her in she smelled something awful but Dr. Pinly gave her a clean bill of health and a vet in Brooklyn gave her meds for mites just in case. several baths later and a change of diet to harlan later she smells just fine and has done so for several months.

This is a photo of Roisin. She was born the runt of a litter in yonkers with a tan hooded phenotype that somehow changed to siamese over a week approximately 2 months after she was born. She slept a lot for the first month I had her and has developed an assertive personality. She likes stealing food from Oreo.

Here is Cocoa. I love her the most (I know you're not suppossed to have favorites). She is the friendiest rat in the whole world. When I open the cage door she will immediately run up my arm and crawl around and run down and everywhere. I do not have any adult photos of her online already but here is a photo of her as a baby with her sister Roisin. Her color has turned slightly more brown than black and she has white paws and a white belly. she is always alert and ready to play.

Lastly Rattie. The first of the bunch. her age is unknown. She used to be housed in the animal facility and while I'm not PETA out to save every creature in the world, I couldn't say no to her when I found out there was no reason besides lack of space and necessity for her, that they were going to sacrifice her. She's suffered from a URI which Dr. Pilny helped me treat with antibiotics. It seems she is recovered and it has been a month since I've seen any sign of infection. She does not bite but is wary of humans though she is used to being handled by me for antibiotics. She never complains.

They all utilize the wodent wheel and they are all litter trained but not for urine.
I have been trying to rehome two of them since I've gotten them but everyone seems to fall through. Current life circumstances have put me in a situation where I had to move into a tiny space and am in constant contact with them, so there is no escape from allergies. If I could rehome or surrender just one, that would be a huge weight off my shoulders. I have no care, I live in manhattan, and I know no one that owns a car. I can take any form of public transport. I am very willing to make the long commute to Kelly if only to surrender two. I will donate any and all rat accessories to the person who takes in the last rat and picks the cage up themselves since I can't carry such a big cage on the train/subway/ bus. <<
