Well firstly Happy Fourth of July everyone!! I hope everyone has a great day today and today is the day Luke can go further than he has ever gone. He's 16wks old and also can go to training school! I can't wait for him to go to obedience class!! But the poor little guy got into something while I was walking him and now he has diarrhea and vomited a bit. He's on medication and is getting rice with chicken for his meals until he's all better. So poor Luke. But after that he'll be all better and will be able to listen to us better and not bark at people going by. ;D

>> But the poor little guy got into something while I was walking him << Gotta watch what dogs eat. Unlike cats they will eat anything! Cats are so neat I let Vesta lick up some of my minestrone soup while i was eating it. She liked it! Which surprised me. Salubrious regards to Luke. >> not bark at people going by << YAPYAP! I am more concerned about him meeting an aggressive animal. I would always carry pepper spray or at least a loud air horn. Just a caveat. >> ID & Poor << I have no idea what that means and read this thread out of curiosity.

Gotta watch what dogs eat. ^I always do and whatever he picks up I stop him and get it out of his mouth. With that walk I must've looked away for a second and that's all it took for him to grab a Crab Apple and eat some of it. Salubrious regards to Luke. ^Thanks, he finally did #2 today and it looked semi good (yeah Kate, great subject). And he loves getting his rice/chicken. He'll probably look at his old food and say, "I have to get this again!?" I am more concerned about him meeting an aggressive animal. ^I always watch him and the dog he's about to meet. If the dog looks alright I let him sniff him, if not he's not going towards that other dog. I have no idea what that means and read this thread out of curiosity. ^I wanted to make the subject line short and a bit catchy. I guess I didn't do to well of a job, oh well...it means it's his Independence Day and Poor dog because he's not feeling well.

Update: Luke is getting better even though he still has to take medication and we're going to introduce his food back slowly so he gets used to it again.
Also he got his last puppy shots and can now go to dog parks and other areas without worrying he'll get sick. And we're calling the trainer next week to schedule his training sessions. So that's good news!!

Crab apples? I figured it was something far worse. Did not even know dogs went for that. Thought it might be some rotten who-knows-what!
My aunt's dog in Michigan would eat big juicy slugs crawling around the cement. He never got sick from them. Blecch.

Oh!! I get it now! I always associate "ID" with identification.
Training should be interesting.

Yep, I hear Crab Apples can give anyone diarrhea and he's doing better. Tonight will be his first night, since he got sick, that he'll be back in the crate. Training will be fun I think. I already learned a few things as the trainer works in the vet's office. She was nice and Luke responded well to her already. He likes to give everyone kisses.
