Vanilla and Cotton (white), and Molly (agouti).
Indra (black), Ginger (agouti spot), and Misty (pied). Sadly, Laurel (nutmeg) died recently.
Polly (dove spot), Molly's sister, is alone as her friend (Penny) died and an intro with little Marge (sapphire) failed. Marge is in with Doreen (cream).
Too tired to list all the pairs now. See ya later Friday!
Oh, the four (now three) I sort of rescued; they were all dumped together as three week pups. Their photos are still up I think.

Yesterday Sonata my Lilac pup I adopted wasn't looking so good. Today I found her dead She was most likely very inbred, and i think that had alot to do with her death. I went to my friends place who's a breeder..... i came home with two boys for my Chevy to be paired with. One boy is a champagne the other a Red Eyed White. I'm going to call them Monte & Carlo most likely

hmm could take a long time. My original 2 boys where Vladimir, a pied black, now deceased and Bailey, a pied argente. still with me age 4ish. The I bought Drunk, a spotted golden agouti (deceased) and his partner Disorderly, a white bellied cream (US standards = ivory cream), still with me aged nearly 3. Their first litter was 2 pups, both golden argente, Whisky and Soda, born October 2003 and sadly now deceased. On Christmas Eve 2003 Disorderly gave birth to her second litter. These included Butterscotch, golden argente, Brandy, golden argente and Tequila, golden agouti who went on to produce pups of their own. All 3 girls are now deceased. Disorderly and Drunk produced 7 litters in all. Vladmir and Tequila produced a line of black and black pied which I had to discontinue breeding from when a number developed seizures. My present gerbils include Dibbler, a slate who will be having a tail amputation soon as it was killed in a declanning , Ronbo and Tizer, a pied white bellied cream around 2 years old and golden argente less than a year, Joe, a golden agouti carrying Ee, father of my only REH pups, his ex-partner Honey, a DEH and her daughters, Mini DEH and Dawn, golden agouti, their brother Paul, also golden agouti, Reaper and his son, both blacks, Lady T, Ginia and Miss Kitty, 3 ladies over 2 years old, respectively golden argente, golden argente and pied white bellied cream. Then there's Random, a slate female, last mate of Vladimir and cagemate till last week of Butterscotch who died suddenly. I then have Magpie, over 2 years old, mother of my slates, her cagemates are InsertNameHere, another slate and Abbey, a white bellied cream with a Z-shaped tail. Lunar is around 18 months, a black gerbil who presently lives alone after a sever declanning (my blacks and slates seem to be victims of many declannings and I wonder of their is something about them that causes this). Amidalla and her daughter Leah are two black females. I also have Billy, spotted burmese, Badger, heavily marked pied black and a cp golden agouti (I will remember his name later). Then there's Dan, cp golden agouti born blind and Acorn, golden argente who live with Fern and bracken, two rescue silver nutmegs. Last theres Vyper, another black and his cagemate Bobtail, a golden argente born with an extemely short tail. I have probably missed a few but thats basically my clan.

Crystal (dove spot) and Chrissie (cream), and their relations Tommy, Dill, Phil, (all three black) and Cliffy (golden).
These were my first rodents, and I brought them home in a carrier on the Long island Railroad. They were fascinating pups. All had different personalities, Tommy the smartest. I could tell the black ones apart by white pips on their paws.
They are all gone now, but live forever in my heart. Posts about them surely are up in this forum; read them if you wish.

The more pets you have the higher your chances of problems and of course losses. I went through a very bad patch last year and a friend of mine who works at the Royal Veterinary College reminded me of that fact and that beating myself up over every loss or injury was fruitless. That doesn't mean losing a special furry isn't painful, of course it is, but it does mean that after the upset/tears/etc I have learnt to put that aside and get on with doing the best for my small friends.

The more pets you have the higher your chances of problems and of course losses. Very very true. If It's not me loosing a little fuzzy, I will know someone with as many rodents as I do who have a loss in their clans. I always think, NO MORE...b/c the losses hurt so much, but I think of the years of happiness I get from them, and they get from me, so it really outweights the losses.
