The boys arrived today. They seem to be settling in fairly well, and they're being very silly. Here are a few pictures of the four. Head-tilt boy seems to be very interested in the camera and isn't as photo-shy as the others. Oh, they don't have names yet Head tilt drinking: One of the black boys trying to steal the limelight: The ratty pile from the side: Head tilt and with the ratty pile behind him: Those be the boys. They were pretty badly neglected so their fur is all tatty and they look "welfare" haha. If anyone knows what type/colour they are? I was told four black berks and a hooded. That correct?

I know nothing about rats, but they look like fun! Especially the ratty pile! Congrats! I know you've been anticipating this for a while! Hope they live up to your expectations and then some! I saw your name choices elsewhere, but I'm clueless about the theme. . .

I will get back to you on that question. Time is short now. Of course one is a hooded. But hard to tell about the others. Get them stuff to climb in and hide under. Best wishes for them!

I have confirmed the other three are berks. The names are Vance, Eddy, Roth, and Snyper. I'll give you guys a chance to guess the theme before I post it, though!
Vance is the hooded one with head-tilt. Eddy is the cage-climbing acrobat Roth is the lazy man who seems to love sleeping in the corner Snyper is the smart one it seems. He was the first to be toilet litter trained (he and Eddy have it down, Roth and Vance poop wherever they want) and has the smallest strip of white down his belly.
They're fairly afraid of new things but have learned the sound of the bag of sunflower seeds! I was putting it away with a Pocky in my mouth (it's a wafer dipped in... stuff? Lol, mine was strawberry flavoured) anyways, they reached up through the bars and stole it right out of my mouth! I couldn't even get mad I was laughing too hard. They've recently found a love of popsicle sticks (especially when they still smell like ice cream) but are super afraid of people. I'm thinking of wearing an old shirt for a bit and then giving it to them as bedding (while theirs is being washed) so they can learn my smell = safety. Vance is getting good about my hand being in the cage (usually throwing stray poops into the litter box) but the others run and hide when I move. I have the next few days off so I'm going to put a pillow beside the cage and sit there on the computer so they can get used to me. They're in the room that I spend the most time in and I'm kind of amazed that they've come so far in approx 48 hours.
