We started on the 12th, and made preparations before then. we had planned to trap, neuter/spay, and return likely ten or twelve feral cats in the backyards. We made lists of each one, and tried to stop all feedings by people - hard to do! The problem was that after a week of nice weather, and many photography opportunities for the autumn foliage, a Nor'Easter came in and we were socked with bad rainy weather, with wind and cold for six days. The cats all hunkered down. No one feeds when it is raining as the food turns to a soggy mess. But the cats mostly stayed out of sight or went elsewhere for a time. we only caught two. Maybe we can try another time.
