Uno and Braveheart were fighting in a ball just now over that stupid wheel. I am separating them. I am getting tired of this I don't have a big house to put cages and tanks everywhere and I am tired of this fighting. They were fine until I put that wheel back in there, they really like it I suppose. I don't know where I am going to put him there isn't any room.

When gerbils fight separate at once and permanently.
Get a 10 gallon tank or a big bin and make holes in the top.
Having to split an established pair doesn't happen often, but it comes with the territory when you have gerbils..

They were in a 10 gallon tank and I can't put them back together now that they fought like that. I know what can happen and I don't want anymore blood. This is happening too much and I am running out of room. It is my own fault I have this many and I love them all but I don't know what to do anymore, I am going to try one more intro when those other babies are old enough and see what happens then, and no more wheels if it will just make them fight

You can find room for a 20 gallon bin. Good luck. >> I am going to try one more intro when those other babies are old enough and see what happens then, and no more wheels if it will just make them fight << What kind of wheel? I have never seen mine really fight over a wheel.

I have had gerbils decide to fight over a certain item in their tank. Sometimes you can't put that item back in. Sometiems it has to do with they have to much space, though not in your case (10G). You may want to buy bin's and convert them into cages, this is a simple and in-expencive way to house gerbils.

>> You may want to buy bin's and convert them into cages << You mean convert them into habitats? A cage by definition has bars.

yayaya... I say "cage" as in a thing to house them in... i don't actually mean a cage with bars, since i highly reccomend NOT useing them for gerbils

I had to put them back into a cage I had no choice but to do that. I am just going to buy another wheel and permantly keep them separated in the tank, they were doing fine like that. If I need too then I will get a bigger tank for them. I can't part with my babies I love them too much and I know no one can love them as much as I do. When I think about selling or giving them away I become so sad, so to me that is telling no, not to get rid of them, and I am listening to that. I brought them into this world now it is my responsibility to take care of them the only way I know how. Someday I will have the tanks professionally made so everyone will be safe. I am truly frustrated with my gerbils behavior, but they are animals and this is all I can expect from them but on the other hand I can stop the fighting and hurting of each other too and this is what I am going to do
