New Colors? Any Ideas what they are?

Hi,

Has anyone been able to conclude what these colors are? I have been dying to find out! If u think your gerbs look anything like this pls post with their pics for comparison.

I'll love to see more C-seperator and RESN pics cos I havent been able to find nice ones online.

These 3 are Winter n Solace's special coat and choco eyes 1st Litter pups. They are close to 2 mths now. Enjoy!

Reminds me of a Slate's eyes. All 3 of em have the same deep eyes.

Hi All,

These are their parents. Both colors are unkown.
I've decided to put the parents pics that taken in sunlight.

This is Dad, Winter. His coat looks creamy n silvery.

Solace has some color difference here. It's always been there and I did try to remove it.


Their kids....haha they have 4 boys n 1 gal!


Pups with interesting eye pigments.

I am dying to find out Winter n Solace's colors n gene code.
But I am not sure their kids are helping me with that cos their colors are equally hard to decide.

I only know there's 2 greys/silver (My guess is Lilac, Saphire or Dove)
I am not sure whether the rests are very dark eyed REWs? I'm pretty sure they can't be PEW cos their eyes ain't pink

Hi All Again,

Here's more pics of Winter n Solace's 2nd litter pups.
All 5 of em with their eyes opened 2 days ago

There's 2 of the beigey dove color (aa) solid color, 2 of the silver ticked color (Aa) belly is white, and a very dark ruby eyed white.


The acutal color u see in the beigey dove is here looks like that all the time.... The other 2 pics below didnt show the color. Taken in flash


Can u see the 2 ticked pups from the bottom up? LOL I still have no idea what they are. Pic taken without flash so as to see the ticking better.

I love the pups colors even I have no idea what they are! They are so special and good natured too. All of em have very dark ruby eyes. So dark that I call it "choco" eyes.

My guess, Light CP Agouti for the first two, lt. silver nutmeg wouldn't have a white belly.
If their eyes are dark, but look red when a light hits is that says Colour Point.

Hi Andrea,

Their eyes are very dark ruby and not of a black's. I noticed that there is some black pigmentation above and below their pupils thus creating the dark ruby effect.

Are you able to explain this? What genes do u think causes such effect?

And what do u think these gerbs genes are.

Btw, The 3rd pic, Del, I first thought that he was a extra dark REW, bot that they are close to 4 mths old and moulted fully, His coat has a slight silver tick like Ferra (1st gerb) and only lighter. Also, when his coat is compared to PEW even as a pup, they are creamier (Ivory) and less white.

Most unusual color I ever had was a DEH with a lightening gene. Took me a long time to figure out what he, Edan, was. Photos are up of him; just search for "Edan". Oh, just look at this post:

I asked my friend Sandy about your gerbils, she said she had answered your questions in another forum, i can't rememnber right now what she thought it was... but it made sence when she told me at the time LOL... so whatever she told you elsewhere i agree
I don't do genetics anymore, and don't have the breeding experiance to get into genetics other then the regular stuff, not mutaions, CP's and such. I just take in all the ones no one else wants
