Whizz has not had a good weekend.
Friday evening while she was sleeping under the trailer and Ryan was working in the shop, he heard her screaming as he runs out to see whats up see watched her runnign full tilt screaming across our yard into the fence head on.
As he runs to her yelling her name, she's still screaming picks herself back up and runs full tilt anotehr direction, rigjht into our shed. Ryan catches her as she's trying to pick herself up and run AGAIN! still screaming, she bites him (not bad) and is trying to run away.
It takes him 10 minutes to get to her stop all this, he bring sher in the house, but she's still breathing rapidly and her ears are so irect, she's listening to every little thing.
I come home, check her over, he's eating cookies, sher cap refill is good, nice coloured gums... But I can't find her pulse, and i don't have a proper themometer (doh).
I call the vet in the morning, she believes Whizz had a panic attack.
She's fine Saturday.
Sunday, we wake up to Whizz panting loudly at quarter to 8am. She's unresponsive, and cannot move herself, she's peed herself as well. We encourage her to move after a while, and her back end is very weak. We get her outside to cool off and get fresh air, i call a 24 hour emergency number (not my Vet) and he advises me to give her sugar water and whatever food she will eat. So I put surag in pedialyte and feed her milksbones, in 30 mins or so she starts being better and we're good. She does not get any insulin that morning. She was good that evening as well, adn got her evening insulin at 11pm.
Monday... Same thing as Sunday, woken up before 8am this time she's less responsive, her eyes are moving rapidly in her head, she's soaked her bed in urine.
I get the sugar water and cookies, she will start smelling the cookies like she wants them but she can't seem to eat them, she cannot life her head or move her body.
We carry her into the kitchen and open the back door so she can get fresh air, and continue with the sugar water and eventually she starts taking cookies, and I am able to feed her canned food.
She soon she she's moving again we take her out to go to the bathroom, and then into the car to the Vets.
She's there today getting a glucose testting done every hour and they are going to try and figure out whats up.
We've never had this in the 2+ years she's been with us with the diagnosis. She has developed a small tremor in her back legs, and started chewing the hair off her tail again, I feel these are signs something is up. I hope we can find out today what.
