The first one looks familiar, but the breed isn't coming to my mind. Oh perhaps a Cane Corso? The second one is an Icelandic Sheepdog and the third is a Leonburger. Both are beautiful dogs. The first dog I wouldn't like to meet in a dark alley.

Leon Burger used to be my accountant, him and his wife, Shirley. The puppy behind him looks cute. You are of course right. I thought the ISD would throw you, but nope! Met a Cane Corso at Meet the Breeds in October. I am so looking forward to that, if they do it again. The Presa Canario is related to the CC or what?? The PC has had some very bad stories about them being violent. (?)

Awesome got them right! That's what I get for looking at dog books every year. The ISD is really easy to me; the breed has also made an appearance in three stories of mine.
Not sure if the Canary Dog, aka Presa Canario, is related to the Cane Corso or not, but they do look similar. I was about to say either the Cane Corso or the Canary Dog, but in the end I went with the CC that's why my post was modified.
And yes, those types of dogs have bad reputations just like the PB. They're used for fighting.

Wow! Check the Dog temperament test thread in this forum, which is UPDATED regularly - the last updating was a month ago.
Cane Corsos were at 90% and Canes at 82%. Compare them to others. Not bad.

The leonburger got very high ratings, too.
The ISD had only two entries so no stats are meaningful, but both passed.

I can understand the CC and the Leonburger being on the AKC list and finally being recognized, but the ISD? I thought they were rarer than the Coton!
