Issy hates fresh greens, anything leafy it seems. I've tried her with tiny bits of greens from the rabbits dinners every once and a while, and she has no care for them... she rather have the vegan cookies LOL What kind of greens do you find Dwarfies like? I just want to treat her with some, but so far they r a no go

Chicory. Even the spiny mice like that. My poor late GPs LOVED it and wheeked when they heard the bag. I miss hearing that. Damn heat. Damn bad luck. Brocolli too, but not for the GPs.

I don't even know where to find Chicory, is it expensive? I will try broccoli next. Lettuce, parsley and spinach have all been no's LOL

I've never had a ham that turned down broccoli. I could occasionally get one to nibble spinach, but barely. Green beans--another favorite.

Why can't she find chicory?? Is it illegal in BC?!

It's legal it's just not carried regularly in the fresh produce. You usually have to go to a specialty market to find it.

Wow. It is UBIQUITOUS here!
Dandelion is sometimes hard to find. But not usually, though often overpriced.

You won't feed lettuce because it'll give Izzy diarrhea? Cause our three dwarfs didn't mind it at all. Chewie, he was a syrian though, liked green beans (in baby food anyway...because of his teeth he couldn't have real food, it had to be baby food).

I never mentioned that anywhere, so not sure I understand. I have given it to her, she doesn't want it. She doesn't seem to want anything fresh, likes dog kibble and peanuts though.

So my mom apparently has chicory in her garden. She grows it with her parsley and apparently this is the perfect time of the year for it. The seeds were from the garden department at Canadian Tire, so it's got to be fairly easy to find.

That was Darko's favourite. They're so silly when they're picking their foods.
