Borzois??
You clearly have more room than me, so bigger dogs.
So many greyhounds need rescuing, and of course mixed breeds.
Clumber spaniels. Heard that have genetic hip issues?? But their owners deny it.
Katie is next. . .
I will look for more quizes.

I have a 7800 square foot yard, then add teh house and shop, but it's still big. I'm not a spaniel fan really, i don't like wire haired dogs much either, specially ones with mustaches/beards LOL... though I do like the West Highland Terrier I had a neighbour with them when i was growing up, such sweet dogs.

The one whole mountain is a Outdoor Recreational Park, there are designated Hiking, ATVing, Dirt biking, mountain biking and horse trails. Plus camping and some lakes. I do a lot of 4x4ing up there in my Truck and on my ATV. I've ridden horseback once around the area as well. I live where everyone else comes to Vacation LOL, so it's very busy here in the summer time. It gets hotter then Vancouver, and can get quite hot. But we usually have a wind where I am, so that helps. Temeratures have been great this week. Hot but not scortching.

Wish I saw this earlier as I love talking about dogs, but here I go now. Oh I love white dogs! And there's no such thing as a White Spitz, that picture looks like a Samoyed or an Eskie. Shelters don't always house purebreds, they normally have mixes. Some of those dogs you listed Tom are mixed breeds. Basenjis are cool dogs, clean as cats and don't bark. They do, however, howl. I've heard it before and it sounds weird. You're right to do your homework and research on this, Andrea! Alaskan Klee Kais are cool looking dogs too! They shed though and look like mini Malamutes. Big breeds do drool, when you see a dewlap on the dog, you know they will drool. And Mastiffs are the heaviest dogs there are. Salukis are beautiful! They run fast too. Are you looking for a small dog? Big or medium sized dog? Shedder or non-shedder? What exactly are you looking for? You have a nice yard!! Dang, I took that test and didn't get the Coton, but I did get a relative of his the Havanese. Oh well, when looking for Luke, we came up with his breed three times! Don't know if this one has been tried: www1.dogbreedinfo.com/search.htm

The pic Tom posted looks like a Sam to me, they are usually such nice dogs, but not overly smart lol.
That's a cool quizz, I actually had done it before. Total Dogs Found: 153 ... lol, I'll post the first few i like... (And not the 'mix' ones) Alaskan Klee Kai Collie East Siberian Laika (Looked this guy up, no breeders, not really found in North America it seems, but beautiful dog) Finnish Spitz Jack Russell Terrier Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever Portuguese Water Dog (Met a few of these, very shy but sweet) Scotch Collie Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) Shiba Inu (I love these dogs, but have not done enough research on them yet) Vizsla West Siberian Laika
I'm just keeping my mind busy researching. I may not get another dog, who knows at this point. I love Spitz breeds for looks, I like easier kept coats, non barky, social dogs who listen well and don't drool LOL... perfer some what of a coat, though doesn't have to be fluffy. 20 to 50lbs around. Though i LOVE Pom's! lol... and long chaird Chihuahuas LOL *sigh* But I dislike designer dogs, or anything 'yuppie' that people get just b/c it looks cool or is in fasion. I like Bully breeds as well, I coudl never pick just one, as there are so many with so many different great qualities... i do know what i don't like LOL

That is a lot of grass to mow, by the way.
Basenjis are low on the temperament list.
>> Some of those dogs you listed Tom are mixed breeds.<<
Such as??
Katie, you got a Havanese. You would not get a Coton as they will not be on such tests, usually - too rare.
A Samoyed owner at the dog show told me they love to run off and chase things, unlike AED's.
Andrea, what about the N.S. Duck Tolling? I saw them many times at the show and they look great.
I will take the quiz and come back. . .

The pic Tom posted looks like a Sam to me, they are usually such nice dogs, but not overly smart ^I've read they're smart, not as smart as a Border Collie, but they do like to hear their own voice. So you're going to have a howler on your hands. And there's no such thing as a Scotch Collie, it's either a Smooth-Haired or Rough-Haired Collie.
I love Spitz breeds for look ^Yes Spitz breeds are pretty to look at.
But I dislike designer dogs ^Designer dogs are stupid in my opinion. I mean there's enough dogs in shelters as it is! What type of bully breeds do you like?
Such as?? ^Such as these: American Bullnese Buggs Cocker Westie Corgidor Faux Frenchbo Bulldog Frenchie Pug Schnoodle
Andrea, what about the N.S. Duck Tolling? ^They are the smallest of the retrievers and are good dogs. If you like dogs with yellow eyes, as most of them have it, these dogs would be the ones to get.
I already posted that quiz, Katie, and took it, and posted the results. ^Maybe I didn't see that one was because when I clicked on it, the computer would not go to it.

So you're going to have a howler on your hands. My best friend had one when we were growing up, he was a sweety, happy-go-lucky dog but not the most intelligent. Lots of health problems as he aged. he barked though, rarely howeled, while my S. Husky couldn't bark, we used to walk them together. And there's no such thing as a Scotch Collie, it's either a Smooth-Haired or Rough-Haired Collie.I'd never heard of oen till that list... hmm... Less fluffy it looked in teh pic, but not a short coat. Cute dog none the less. But I dislike designer dogs ^Designer dogs are stupid in my opinion. I mean there's enough dogs in shelters as it is! What type of bully breeds do you like? Yeah, a mutt is a mutt and anything with 'poo' at the end is a mutt! LOL Pretty much all bullies, American Staffy etc. Such as?? ^Such as these: American Bullnese Buggs Cocker Westie Corgidor Faux Frenchbo Bulldog Frenchie Pug Schnoodle LOL Andrea, what about the N.S. Duck Tolling? ^They are the smallest of the retrievers and are good dogs. If you like dogs with yellow eyes, as most of them have it, these dogs would be the ones to get. I'm not picky about eye colour and I think these dogs are wonderful, buy hyper. Another dog with cool eyes, Weimaraner and Ryan and i both like them. I knew a rabit who's colouring was like a Weimaraner, he was so cute.
