Poor Frasier's fluid pouches look uncomfortable. In that funny eyed picture he looks like he's winking at you. I love the way Ethel sleeps! Snuggled up in your fingers like that, so awesome.

He's not very active--he runs very little on the wheel--but he sits up on his hind legs, is curious, responds to voice, etc. He certainly doesn't act as though he's in pain.
She chills that way, but only for 30 sec-1 minute. Then she wants to reposition herself between another two fingers!
The photo you refer to is probably the best of all the photos for getting an idea of their true color.

He does seem to be winking.
Aren't the ones on the bottom also true color?
That photo with the sore threw me for a bit - his mouth looks so red I thought that was a sore and I then couldn't find his head! And he does seem big.
Nice they are (both?) tame enough to hold.
What is that navy blue thing Ethel is looking at?

What is that navy blue thing Ethel is looking at? You are right--that photo also shows their true color. They are both easy to hold and pet. To me a hamster is tame if he/she runs around on me readily and does not mind being repositioned (e.g., hamster climbs up the front of me to my shoulder and I pick him/her up and put him/her back down on my lap, where the process can start over again). Both of them are this way. They don't like being constrained, and they will nip if I try to take them directly from their tanks, but otherwise they are very sweet. Yes, that's a food dish--the perfect 99-cent one that dwarfs don't sit in and use as a toilet, which is why I love it!

I have a yellow one of those dishes. But it doesn't match Isabella's decore, her colour is Royal Purple... yellow would not fit LOL

I attended a Grad School class with Caroline Kennedy. She always wore purple. For real.

They are very cute and remind me of some of Harriet's seven. I can see the pudginess on them, but with you as an owner they'll be sure to be proper weight soon. Pet them for me and tell them I said, "Hi!" please.

Purple is my all time favourite colour. Tucker is lucky he's a boy otherwise I'd have purple-themed everything. Might be dying my hair purple again for the end of the summer...

So did you dye your hair, Dezzi?
Just a quick update--photos to follow soon, hopefully before the long weekend is over. The kids are doing quite well. I love them to death! Frasier is Mr. Mellow Yellow, and Ethel is feisty like Jayde was. He is the Kale Monster; she is the Broccoli Blaster! It's fun having two and seeing the differences in spite of the shared genetics and environment.
(Yeah, yeah, Tom--I know you told me so! ;D)
