This is a picture of my handsome beagle Cody. I thought it would be proper to give him a memorial even though it has been a couple years since he has been gone. Cody and Rhythm were best buddies. Cody was put to rest in our livingroom ( euthanasia ) due to a tumor that was in his throat. He was in distress and I wasn't going to let him suffocate. We thought when Cody died that Rhythm would follow, but I was wrong, thank goodness. Beagle Boy is his nickname from me. He was a funny little man always dressed in a tuxedo, ready to impress. I got him from my brother-in-laws boss who happened to breed champion Beagles. Codys dad made the cover of Hunter & Hounds magazine a couple years before he was born. He was the runt of the litter and the man tried to talk me out of wanting him, but when I put him on my lap he started sucking on my pinky finger cause he was hungry. The man told me that he was the runt and probably wouldn't live long. Beagle Boy outlasted his entire family and lived for 14 long healthy years. I have so many funny stories of the trouble he used to get into, but that will be another thread. I will post a pic of Cody and Rhythm together if I can find one that will fit the attachment agreement. Most of our pics are in MB format. This is handsome Cody. Rest in Peace my Cody Boy. I love you!!! Attachments:

So sorry. Nice looking dog. You recall the story of Mary and Jerry, whom we all loved, on RR. Jerry was also euthanized in the living room in Mary's arms. It makes me cry to even think of it.

The story of Mary and Jerry is always fresh in my mind. The thing that stunk the most about Cody being put to sleep at home is when the vet came to the door, he went to greet her with a wagging tail. She checked him thoroughly before doing anything because she wanted to be sure that surgery was or wasn't an option. She was wonderful with him. She acted as if she knew him personally, on the floor right beside us crying as he slipped away. It's still a sad memory to me, but I have accepted that it was the right thing to do or he would have suffocated. I long to have another Beagle someday. They are great kids. Tom, I also posted a picture of Rhythm under Codys thread. I think you might have missed it.

>>he went to greet her with a wagging tail. << And that is why I, and a friend who loves animals and is an expert on so much, never thought about being a vet, if even if needed to be done. Why you put up a link and not a second photo I do not know.
