"The dog was trying to tell her, 'I am going to bite you,'" Colleen Safford, a prominent New York-based dog trainer, told Yahoo News. "Dogs 'talk' to us with their body with each and every interaction. This dog was repeatedly 'telling' the anchor that she was making him uncomfortable and if she didn't stop, he would bite." "Basically, she did everything wrong," Ron Berman, a canine behavior specialist, told NBC. "She went up to a dog she didn't know--who didn't know her--and she either tried to kiss him or hug him or put her face too close to his face. He felt threatened and bit her."<<

I would NEVER do that with a dog. And there is a Staffordshire with owner who hangs out near a local pet store. Well, maybe a St Bernard or a Newfie! But not a Dogo Argentino! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogo_Argentino

I know the link said Dogo, but it also looks like an American Bulldog, but besides the dog licking his mouth a lot (which is a sign for nervousness), I didn't see any indication that the dog would bite.
Not that I'd be near any dog like that in the first place. My Dad was attacked by a St. Bernard and the guy didn't say sorry either. Luckily my Dad's coat was big and the dog's teeth only got the jacket.

You don't do that to a strange dog. Wait until the dog comes to you, happily.
