Very nice. Those type of flowers are popping up here too, very pretty. Unfortunately I found out they also whack out my allergies. So I can't be too close to them when Luke decides to stop and sniff the grass.

Really nice, Tom. So many different ones, too! Also cool to see what your area looks like. Not sure I've ever been in Brooklyn. Which shot looks most like your immediate neighborhood?

Hard to say. The neighborhood is a mix of apartment buildings (some 4, some 6 floors), and a variety of private houses mixed in with smaller multi-dwelling places.
Across the street is the only 8 floor apartment building (not sure how they got past the zoning laws).
I will take more photos maybe later today to give you a better idea.
Almost all the apartment buildings date back to the 1930's. The others vary a lot. There are a significant number of almost century old brownstones in rows too, and they started when the City announced a subway line into the area, which changed everything - real estate developers started building like crazy. Should have seen the old photos of this place 100+ years ago, and then in just a decade or so it looked so different!
