Fiona the finch. Her nails were looking like a Chinese mandarin's curling over. So I trimmed them. Wasn't hard. She did not seem to mind. BUT. . . the eggs (with Fred in the cage) are not hatching after MONTHS. I figured they would when it got warmer. It has been warmer. But no hatching. Reasons? Infertile female? Inbreeding issues??

I have a friend who had finches, and no eggs laid ever hatched. Why? No idea.

I've had in the past many finch eggs hatch - different birds.
Thinking of adopting a pigeon, one with flight issues who cannot be released. Opinions?

What about this opportunity gives you pause?
