Ok, this morning went better! They both looked like they were interested in what was going on, stretching half in and half out of their hut. I reached in and very slowly and gently tilted the hut so they both came out. Once they were out and playing in the cage I took the hut out for a few minutes which made it easier to catch them. Without the hut to run to they seemed alot more interested in having a look out the cage. Locutus is the bolder one, but once you catch them, Hugh is much more relaxed. So, Hugh and I had a good cuddle and I put him back and he's been VERY keen to see what I'm up to since then! Locutus was a big ole wiggle worm and wouldn't sit still a minute while held him...I was rather concerned because he seemed so intent on getting away that I worried he'd leap off me and hide! This temporary room they're in isn't the best for an AWOL rattie! They've both been very active this morning, and Hugh keeps sitting on top of the hut (!) and watching me Linda

Sounds sweet. If I had room I would get some ratties. I might ask for advice first. Maybe natural attrition will give me more room eventually.
BTW, "Hugh" was a well-known character from ST/NG also. You named him after that Hugh?

Ah! How many other people wuld have known that about Hugh! *slaps self on back* I personally had a thing for Keiko and K'Ehleyr, not to mention Adm. Nechayev. BTW, Suzie Plakson, who plaed K'Ehleyr, also played three different aliens on ST including an Andorean. She also played A Vulcan and a female Q. I liked her better as a Klingon: Now tell me the name of the pet critter Worf's son saved from the fire.

Ok, now that I'd have to do a web search on! But I DO remember the reference. Ahhhh, back in my much trimmer and arguably much geekier con days, a friend of mine did up a real nice Klingon costume and headpiece. People at cons were asking me if I WERE Susie Plakson which was a nice compliment, but some were really serious! I mean, c'mon folks! Maybe I was hot but I wasn't THAT hot!! ROFLMAO!! Ahhh, the good ole days... K'Ehlin

So, you looked like this? Very bad mistake to have killed her off so early. I went to two cons: the one in NYC featured a hilarious Frakes doing a great routine, and the other had Nana Visitor. I never wore costumes.

Well maybe I looked something like that once upon a time! Same basic features...just not arranged as winningly! heheh
I just got around to adding my avatar...that looks more like me...big head, big feet, round body!! ;D

LOL Very funny. You know she is 6'1", I think? You'd have enjoyed the cons I went to. The Simpsons once satirized a con showing one of the actual Apollo astronauts who walked on the moon at an autograph table. They also showed him totally ignored. I saw one (I forget which, not from Apollo 11), and he was not ignored, but he sure did not get the attention he deserved. If you ever research the name of the pet critter Worf's son rescued pass it along, please.

BTW, and I just realized I did this exact same thing with the same futile results a few years ago, I found the episode where Alexander - Worf's son - rescues the critter in the Biolab from the fire. New Ground Stardate: 45376.3 Episode 10 of Season 5. But it does not say what the name of the critter is! I will have to go to the message boards, later! >> People at cons were asking me if I WERE Susie Plakson << I just realized. . . that means you must be over six feet tall! She is.
