Since I've never had females nor babies I don't have any first hand knowledge. The only things I've seen come up a few times in YahooGroups discussions are to check for a "milk band"....apparently the little tummies will show the milk through them, after a feeding, so you may want to check to make sure they are getting enough. I don't believe that the info Jen put together on my site includes baby care, but I can check. linda You might want to add some info there as I have no idea what I am supposed to do and how to do it. So far Chandon has not had babies.

Moet is still with her four babies, and Chandon just looks big. Both are a little less timid as I get to know them.
If anything develops (such as another litter) you'll be the first to hear! BTW, the babies are now pink, not red.

LATEST NEWS:
I got home a few hours ago. . . and Chandon had eight babies, and might have some more coming.
They appear smaller than Moet's quartet at the same age (one day or less).
I leave them alone as much as possible; too bad as I wanted to play with the rats.
I'll be complaining to the pet store manager for not separating by gender, and most of the babies will go to that store for sale as pets. I will likely not even bring different sexes there at the same time.

The babies keep coming! Yes, Chandon was not finished. The squeaking is keeping me up at night. This morning:
