Being a vegetarian, I've never had bones on hand to give the rat boys, but stole one from my brother's plate after eating out tonight I guess I should have got 2 but I figured I could break it in half, or should I not do that? It's a leg bone. Will they eat the entire thing or just the edible bits on the outside and the marrow? I know people often give their rats cooked chicken bones, but no way they can hurt themselves with one, huh? Ms. Worry-wort

I wish i knew. I have also heard of people giving chicken bones to rats, so i'm going to guess it is safe. They are a big no-no for dogs though.
Speaking fo rat treats, i made perogies last week, and we had ONE left over. I looked at it and said we need a rat to eat this yummy perogie!

Polish by any chance? My mother was, and we often had pierogies and kielbasa, and so much more.
I don't cook. The only chicken I see comes in cans or little plastic packages.
I'd worry about bones; there are so many other options I would not worry about, why bones?

No, not polish at all, though my Fathers from Germany. Perogies are a popular dish it seems around here, not home made ones, but packaged ones. My best friend as a child her family owned a perogie company (making & selling) and they were Korean.
