My baby hamsters are about 3 weeks old already, and they've got fur and opened their eyes . I was wondering if this would be a good time to start taming them. Does anyone object to this?

I haven't experience with dwarf babies but I brought up a litter of syrians and yes 3 weeks is a good age to tame them. Handle them gently and of course bribery [with food] is the way forward Do it little and often and I'm sure you'll have some lovely friendly babies.

I would call up your vet & ask them what the proper age is to pick up dwarf babies. That's what we did when Harriet had her 7.

I've raised and tamed a total twelve Syrian babies to such an extent they don't even react when I kiss them on the nose. BUT. . . as youngsters they would jump out of my hands like greased watermelon seeds! So, be very careful when handling them, and keep a second hand in front of them.
