Nice, looks like an African motiff.
That reminds me, the Hamster Town House plastic houses I got for the syrians were always kind of small - but I dusted them off as they are perfect for dwarfs.

well i found them at Big Lots, they are little terra cotta bird houses. The hole in the step area had a little wooden peg that i took out and it had a srting from the roof. I saw them and said, those look like hammy houses.
I got bored so i painted them as well.
the best part is they only cost $.99 each!

Terra cotta! I should have known.
You never know what you can find here and there. I once found a slated wooden holder for wooden spoons for only a buck that made a great gnaw toy for the gerbils; they can also hide in it.
