I found this cage at petsmart and its almost exactly what i needed. I just wanted to make sure with you all if its as good as told. Descreption: A home bursting of color and fun for hamsters, mice, or gerbils. Comes complete with a water bottle, food dish, exercise wheel, climbing ramp, and several spots to hideout. Home has four locations where accessories can be attached for added living space and fun. Has a spring lid top. Clamped sides make separating plastic top of home from base, easy for cleaning. Measures approximately 20" L x 12" W x 8" H. (Assorted Colors) I think its good cause it can attach to my CT wire cages, its cozy for the cold weather, and i big enough door for easy handling. Plus the top can flip open for cleaning also the floor is good for adding extra bedding on the bottem. though the bad things i think are that the wheel is high on chewing(i can always buy a seperate wheel) any suggestens or anything?

My first question is the exercise wheel strong and high enough off the floor to prevent bedding getting in it clogging it?
My second question (or concern) is the thickness of the plastic regarding gnawing. I had a Penn Plax that a dwarf gnawed through. Depends on the hamster, of course. Just keep a close eye on it if you get it.
Otherwise it seems fine.

I think it looks cute. And it looks easy to clean.

if that wheel is to low then like a said i could connect it to my other cages with a better wheel. The whole point i want a plastice is because hamster care books say its a good idea to connect a plastic with a wire. Wire is cool and plastic will be cozy. Plus my cage is a bit to small for dwarfs and if i attach a cage to it cant be a wire or one of my pets might scare it poking its nose though the cage.
i agree kate^^

So this will be an attachment, an add-on, to your wire cages, not a stand alone habitat. Sounds good.

The only problem i can see with the cage is if it starts chewing the wheel it could climb out and escape

I've seen those cages before. To much plastic for a gerbil, but looks like fun for a hammy.

The only problem i can see with the cage is if it starts chewing the wheel it could climb out and escape the one i got has rimes on top of the wheel thing,so if its chewed up, it cant fit through the rimes(unless it chews on them)
