Funniest thing was some idiotic comment on the site: >> C'mon dude: thats animal cruelty << How stupid. Those Silent Spinners can really move! 12 turns!! I should record a dozen fancy mice fighting over a Combo snack. it is like a rugby match!

I wanted to repost my picture of Fuzz on the same Silent Spinner wheel where he looks as though he's out of control (though not in a spin cycle), but Picturetrail deleted my account. So much for doing that tonight--gotta get some sleep!

Very funny. I've seen gerbil pups fly off too. Those Silent Spinners really move. The Spiny Mice do it too, but they are so nimble they just hop out, no fuss no muss. Didn't pay your Picturetrail fees?? Maybe if you pay them (if that was the problem) they can recreate it.

This tells you how disconnected I am to the real world: Picturetrail fees?
Go ahead and laugh! ;D

Here it is--I figured out that I was using the wrong username to access the account. . . DF, why is this one so small? It wasn't this small when I posted it before. . . Not the hamster spin cycle, but he looks like he's barely in control! ;D

I don't think it would hurt them. They just spun around; they didn't crash into anything.
I wouldn't let pups (dwarf or other critters) do that with an adult around though as it could cause trouble. But these dwarfs are causing the movement themselves.

There is a green SS four feet away with white gerbils spinning in it here. And how's the purple one that arrived in the mail holding up?? So you must have seen the photo just as I first posted it. Once I saw how it looked I clicked on "modify" to add my "oh, it worked!" comment, and just as i wrote my comment I smelled something funny. . . the steaming broccoli? No, more like the charring pan below it from which I had allowed the water to boil away! So I had to tend to that before I could finish modifiying my post. . . Speaking of SS, my furry friend has evidently knocked his into the side of the tank (bang, bang, bang. . .). So let me go fix that. . .

So Fuzz was out and about, and so I took him out to let him run on the bed. He is amusing. . . . he starts by exploring my clothes (shirt, inside of pants leg), then when he is bored with that he lies down beside me (I am lying on my side; he lies down beside my thighs). I get a kick out of this because he is not just crouching down--his legs are splayed out, his belly is flat against the bed, and he puts his head down like a dog would if lying down for a nap. I have never seen him do this anywhere else--only when he is near me in that particular spot. If I try to pet him while he's "resting," he moves further away and "rests" again. If I keep bugging him, he gives up and starts wandering around my feet. After he wanders around for a while I get him to really run by moving from place to place around the bed--whenever I move and "abandon" him, he runs back to me. Very cute.

I will check later, but I am fairly sure one of the gerbs has it. None have broken as I reinforce the yellow hub with epoxe glue. And thanks again. That is one of the gerbs who is alone due to a death and needs to be split screened soon. I once long ago let a pot burn that way - resulting in some neighbor calling the FDNY! Yea, I try to keep them away from the edges to be silent. That green one is a yard from my head at night, so it must work.
