Well hi! I saw a link to this site and decided to come. I really am planning to buy some mice for a science fair in April and take advantage of it and keep them. First of all, heres what I need to know (if you could answer it): - While mom and her babies are in the cage, can there be other female or male mice in thr cage?
- Are mice easily stressed?
- Is it true that you can carry your mice in special small boxes for them?
- Can they be given the same diet as a hamster (hamter food)?
- How many days it is their heat cycle?

Hi. Nice to see you here. I posted the link here at another forum. I hope you check out the threads in this (and other) forums; they tell you a lot about mice, and I think I took some nice photos of mine. Heat cycle I do not know. I have all females, but never kept track of that. I will post the address in this thread of someone who will know later, in this thread, as soon as I find it. He is a very accomplished breeder with a nice website. My mice do not seem easily stressed, but they have it easy here. I give them LM rat and mice food, but I suppose gerbil or hamster mix can do; I just am not sure if the hamster mix has enough protein. I suppose they can be carried in small boxes, although I would not want my girls to get separated from each other for too long (hours) as they might forget each others' scents. OK, I will post this and look for the other information. . .
