No, this is not my own habitat, but that at the Bronx Zoo. Dozens of Spiny Mice are in there, and great climbers they are!

Wow, talk about camoflage...I couldn't see them at first.
I'm guessing by their habitat that they're from the desert. Do you know exactly where they're from?

Spiny Mice come from different areas of North Africa and the Middle East in rocky areas with dense vegetation. They do not live in deserts.
