Here are two very lovely fancy mice of mine. Kalama is the red satin. The male I have not named yet. Any idea what I would get if I bred them? I'm going to guess. . . fancy baby mice??

I guess my question is. . . is the red satin gene dominant or not, or would I get a mix of both colors?
My concerns come from the fact that another fancy mouse, another red satin, Kori, and Vita, a lilac fuzzy, all came to me pregnant (or so I believe), and ALL their babies were agoutis - 18 in total. And those agoutis are nuts; extremely hyper and impossible to control. Their moms are very tame. So the agouti gene is very dominant.

These agoutis are the ones you find all over the place and in your Havahart trap all the time??
Sounds like you don't want to duplicate those genetics. . .
Kalama is a lovely color. I can see why you'd want more of her sort.

Yea, those agoutis, the children of the two fancies. Several asre still "free ranging", and I hope not breeding. Better bait the trap woth peanut butter.

Here are a few more photos of the silkie fellow. I am going to some mouse sites and see if some genetics experts are there.

I have asked the rescue person who has helped me to name him, but I still await a response. You may submit suggestion for my consideration!
