Hello all! I'm new here and thought I'd better introduce myself rather than just reading all your posts - which I have enjoyed. This is a good site. A bit more "grown up" (for want of a better description ) than some sites I have visited lately. Anyway, I'm Peta (pronounced like the boys' name Peter). My son has a six month old Syrian hamster called Heskey. Heskey is gorgeous, so tame, gentle and velvety. His only problem is that he seems to be mutating into a guinea pig - he is so long! I have two little Robo girlies called Hip and Hop (thanks Kane!) who I've had for about 10 days now. We're still getting used to each other! I love them all to bits and would probably have loads more if I had the time. I'm still fairly new to hamsters so I'll probably be asking for loads of advice. In fact I've already picked up a couple of tips reading some of the existing threads. Look forward to getting to know you guys better and meeting your hams.

Welcome to the board, Peta!
Heskey sounds like quite the big boy. Could Zeb finally have some competition?

Peta, welcome!
I have never known this board included a chatroom -- or am I missing something?

Welcome to the board, Peta! Heskey sounds like quite the big boy. Could Zeb finally have some competition? Don't bet the family jewels on it. ;D Welcome 'Peta' - an acronym for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals!

Hi all. Thanks for being so welcoming. Look forward to chatting with you again soon Kane. Yes, DF, the "PETA" organisation is particularly big in America, I believe. They are also the reason I couldn't buy the peta.com domain. They have bought up the lot! Look forward to "speaking" with you all soon. Oh, and who is Zeb?
