SO CUTE! I guess that means they are related to degus also they are the second largest rodent in the world, very cool. I'm pretty sure I have seen a picture of them somewhere before.

I saw them last night on Leno - maras. Never saw them before. Looks sort of like a "capybara light"! or a capy-kangaroo!
Anyone else got any really unusual rodents? I already know of the lovely acouchy.

Mole rats are rodents.
Moles are insectivora.
So "mole rat" refers to a rodent that sort of behaves like a mole!

The funny thing is when I looked up "Maras" on Google's Images, I got a lot of strippers named Mara! ;D Plus this rodent.
