I've noticed that Pee Pee kind of dribbles when he goes somewhere warmer - like if I get him out and I'm sitting by a radiator he'll get a soggy mouth. I seem to remember an ex-hamster of mine used to do this too, but can't remember if the vet said it was perfectly ok or there was something wrong. Although I think I'd remember if it was something wrong. He's otherwise as perky as ever

You know how dogs pant & alligators or crocildes will open their mouths to cool themselves. Maybe your hamster could be letting cool air in from somewhere or trying to cool his body off. That's all I can think of; hope it kinda helped!

Cooling off like this is less common in rodents but not unheard of. Unless there are obvious signs of respiratory distress, I'd say he was probably okay.

Yeah, I thought so He does *only* do it when placed in a warmer environment so I'm guessing it is just a way to let off heat. It is weird though

I have NEVER seen or heard of anything like that.
Like the Pope, my mother dribbled, but that was due to Parkinsons Disease. I have no idea about hamsters, but this is an interesting thread topic!

ROFL at "like the pope" - for some reason, I can't stop laughing at that one.

The Pope scares me more than Kane or DF or my reflection.
There's a guy who is way too stodgy, with way too much secular clout.
