Well I got thinking this morning about the duo of Sonic and Tails, Well we all know you can't have sonic without tails!. Well I went upto Pets at Home this morning to have a look around (Actually I took Mom to Tesco but you know...) Well I saw this beautiful little speckled black and white hamster, which I had never a colour like this before. Anyway I didn't buy her because I had just got Sonic. Well it's been playing on my mind all day! Come 8pm this evening I decided to go up to KFC for some popcorn chicken (bearing in mind KFC is half hours drive from me) well I drove up by Pets at Home on the off chance it was open, well it was! So without a doubt I brought that little girl I saw this morning. Tails, 5 week old little Girl. So call me a softy. or just plain mad, but I got two new little friends today, and it's made a miserable month alot more happier. Kane

She looks very sweet -- sorry about the bad month, but hopefully the new friends help you feel better.

Glad she made you happy; I am sure you will do the same for her. I hesitate to even look in a hamster/gerb area of a store, especially if I catch their eye. It'd be tough for me to find room for another right now. it is not just the room, it is that unless I find time to play with them and let them out a lot and explore I feel like merely a jailer. KFC. They have nine stores in Vietnam! Another ubiquitous fast food chain stretching its tentacles. . . ;D

I've driven many a long drive late at night for White Castle or Denny's. Twenty minutes to either, for sub-human food -- but at least they're open at four in the morning.

I'm reduced to protein bars, protein shakes, and herring or tuna, plus greenery. Keeps me lean and mean. Actually, the bars and shakes are quite tasty, and there is a brand of canned herring fillets (RugenFisch, from Germany) in horseradish-based sauce I find delicious. I stopped going to fast food places when, after ordering an ostensibly "healthy" broiled chicken salad, when I checked the ingredients online even the broiled chicken had transfatty PHO's all through it - they sprayed it on "for flavor". It was also in their gourmet bun with the little seeds. Plus all those refined carbos, and that was it for me. I do have to partake of some more Thai food regardless of consequences. And that peanut sauce. Fabulous.
