I plan on taking pictures and mini movies. Actually Steve will be taking the pictures and movies since I will be racing Becca. I got her all signed up yesterday. I needed a couple of critter keepers for the gerbil show. The prices on those critter keepers are ridiculous. They cost more in the small pet department than in the fish/reptile section. They are the same! Just marketed different.

I can't wait this year. It will be my first time showing Bobby, Milly and Ginger in the Pup class. I will also be showing my agouti Toby and Bobby's dad Sam who is a yellow fox. I am thinking of bring Becca for the Pet Class Gerbil Races. She is a maniac in the ball. That's why she is going to compete in the Hamster Derby at Petco on the 2nd.

Clarice had her second and final litter this morning. So far three little pups. We took Sam and Bobby out last night. Clarice was showing signs that she was due very soon. Milly and Ginger are with Clarice helping to raise the second litter. They will take the place of Sam in the care department. Clarice was such a good mom with Bobby, Milly and Ginger. She will be a good mom to these pups.
Just pray they will make through the next few days. I will keep you posted.
Clarice had her litter too fast. I was going to clean the tank today. I will wait another week and do some spot cleaning. The wheel seems to calm her down so I left it in this time. It is raised so the new pups won't get hurt.

I actually saw the two girls drink from the water bottle this morning. Daddy was drinking and the pups crowded around as if they were saying "Dad...I want a drink. I want a drink".

Three weeks old now and having fun..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebqQIaEVmAgAll they do now is grow and learn. Ginger discovered the wheel yesterday. Two other pups might have took a small sip from the water bottle. So they are learning. They are also starting to eat some of their parents food. The soft stuff like the rolled oats. They love the oats. I have been sprinkling some in the tank for them.

Slowly the girls personalities are starting to show a little. Milly is starting to become the calmer of the two. She jumped right into my hand. I was able to lift her up. She played a little on my arms and in my hands. Did not once want to jump. She is going to be a very sweet little girl. She is going to be an excellent friend for my super active Becca.

I have been handling them since they were 5 days old. As long as my hands were clean, the parents didn't mind at all. They trusted me enough to handle the pups. One of the baby girls opened her eyes today. We decided on Milly as her name and Bobby for the boy. Still need to think of one more name. Milly has a straight tail while her twin sister has a kink in her tail. It is the only way I can tell them apart. I watched the cutest thing this morning. I saw one of the baby girls carrying a piece of bedding back to the nest to show mom and dad. It was like she was saying: "Mom! Dad! Look what I found!"

Terrible. Thank god the dog is going to be ok. The owner should be thrown out of his truck to see how it feels. He could have done other things than throw a poor dog out of a truck.
