BTW, that model, about a yard high, is in the conservation center of Brooklyn's Prospect Park. There are others there similar to it, such as a cardinal.

I was ATVing a week ago and a little Chipmunk ran out in front of me, man did I skid to a halt fast! And the little guy just looked at me like "Hey, I'm walkin here!" LOL

That is funny Andrea and I bet your heart was pounding!!! I love it how we interpret what they may be saying to us. Since we're sharing some Chipmunk stories, here's mine really quickly: we were in Saratoga and I walked up ahead of my father, aunt/uncle and I see this cute little Chipmunk right in front of me and he poses as if to say, "Here I am, get a good shot of me." But dangit if I didn't have a camera.
Anyway, funny story again! ;D

Odlly, I have never seen a chipmunk here in Brooklyn, only the Bronx (which is connected by l;and to the rest of the state). The photo above was taken in the NY Botanic Gardens in the Bronx.
