I was there last Friday - the entire week was free! The New York Historical Society, next to the huge Museum of Natural History next to Central Park, has some marvelous exhibits and much iof it is interactive and multimedia. Currently, their main exhibit is a big one on Lincoln and New York during the Civil War, from his famous speech at Cooper Union that helped win him the Republican nomination to his funeral. It is well worth a look, and you can do it, partially, online! www.lincolnandnewyork.orgwww.nyhistory.org/
