They won their first Stanley Cup in two generations last night.
The Blackhawks' first owner was coffee tycoon Frederic McLaughlin. He had been a commander with the 333rd Machine Gun Battalion of the 86th Infantry Division during World War I. This Division was nicknamed the "Blackhawk Division", after a Native American of the Sauk nation, Chief Black Hawk, who was a prominent figure in the history of Illinois. McLaughlin evidently named the hockey team in honor of the military unit. Interesting.

Yes Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks for winning the Stanley Cup! Plus they haven't won it in a long time. But...did they really have to win on Philadelphia's home ice?

It has happened a lot winning away. I am sure BH fans are less happy about that than you.
That was a soft goal, that last one.
