Looks like a nice zoo. Is it a big zoo? Pittsburgh Zoo is real nice to visit. We recently had two tiger cubs that were born during the spring. And it seems like every 5 years a new baby elephant is born. They recently put in a beautiful aquarium and out and indoor exhibit for sharks, polar bears, otters and seals. But during all the renovation they took away my favorite animal...the Dik Dik. I went to their exhibit when I was pregnant and sat on a ledge and leaned on the glass to their exhibit, and a little Dik Dik came over to me and put his head on the glass as if putting his head on my shoulder. He would follow me from one end of the exhibit to the other. When it became time to leave I remember getting emotional because I felt a bond with the little guy. They are such cute babies. Once again you took great pics...I love the wooden bridge and the pond with the ducks and swans. Can't wait to see the Manhattan Holiday pics.

>>Is it a big zoo?<< How big is big? 11 serene acres. Pittsburgh is 77 acres. Bronx Zoo is 265. Check out the videos on the link: www.queenszoo.com/The Flemish Giant rabbits' photos are in the gallery I took for this thread.

Flemish Giants are cool!! Make sure they're kept out of the heat though. I miss Fawn, who used to be at Paws.

Flemies can be 10 to 20lbs I've met some around 18lbs. There's that guy in Germany who breeds monster sized ones.

And I hope he stopped selling them to North Korea.
How big were the Flemish Giants in the photos? Average?

I would say average. The little ones we have at the shelter and half breeds so they look like baby Flemies They won't get any bigger then the 10lbs+ about that they are.

Those Flemies were cute though, all huddled together. I had to climb over a low fence to get in position to take those photos. Three years ago they had two white ones; a couple years ago "the other died", I was told, and only one was left. So now there are two whites, and a black. I wondered if one white and one black could have been introduced to the surviving white who was already there.
