I have been busy and distracted with many things lately, and this is another. kanez.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rats&thread=2730&page=1That was when I got them, and Annie is the last from that group. She is currently sleeping in a small box near my feet near a warm radiator. I give her water and milk. She is old and has other issues, and is clearly dying. This is always inevitable with them. We can pray for a peaceful passing, and then a Spring burial. Can't complain too much; she has lasted longer than I expected. As you can see from the photos in the thread, she is a black rat. Her brother passed some time ago. *sighs*

I'm sorry. It is so hard to watch a little baby slip away as opposed to finding them already gone. Strength and prayers go to you and lots of nuzzles for poor little Annie. May you go in peace sweetie girl.

Thank you. Let me check. . . she is still alive; eyes do not look dehydrated. Will try to get some milk into her soon. Is just lying there eyes open breathing. I talk to her and keep her with me.

Annie is gone. See the thread I just posted in Rabbits in answer to Andrea. It addresses what happened. In a way, it was for the best .
