PHOTOS! Macaws and magnolias

Unless the expected weekend touch of snow kills them, the magnolias have started to bloom! That happened about six years ago: they were half out and then a frost killed them off.
Next to bloom, the daffodils, and then begins my annual peregrinations to the botanic gardens, et al.



This same day I hit both local pet stores. You will recall the red macaw photos I earlier posted and are still up. That one, strangely, is still there (?) even though supposedly sold two months ago. But they have brought in a new one who, unlike the red one, was not raised from an egg at that store. Here he/she is. Gorgeous.

One other thing.

I have had added four new photos of deceased hamsters to my avatar: two of Princess, and then one each of Rainy and Ringy, in that order.

The bird is pretty. Don't birds live a long time?

For years I have been wanting a Macaw or Cockatoo. I don't get one because of how long they live. Being in my thirties, I'd die long before they do and would worry who would take care of them after I pass :<:< *Sigh*

Yep, they could outlive anyone over thirty!

If you got one you'd have to definitely make provisions in your will, and other such in case of illness or emergency.

I would never get such a bird unless there was a large support system oif bird-lovers who could rescue any such bird that needed a new home. (There likely are such, but I have not searched for them).
