She is not aggressive. She just moves away from me all the time.
I guess I need to find the time to leave my hand in there for ten minutes or so and start letting her get used to it!

Usually in pet stores they go for $99.
I think $40 was a great deal. I do hope someday she will walk on my finger, or at least be allowed to climb outside the big cage without running off.

if they were $99 here i would have got one a long time ago... unfortunatly that isnt the case. in time she should be more tame, but only time will tell goodluck!

Thanks.
Macaws and cockatoos sell for around $1,800. They are smarter and require much more attention. And they will outlive us. So I passed on them.
An electus parrot is a possibility.
Heather's singing is nice but WAY to loud for the bedroom where I spend most of my time. I suppose if I did she'd get used to me quicker. A dilemma.

I have a cockatiel - Katie, she's twenty-one.
I doubt that she will talk. Most female cockatiels never learn to speak. Katie doesn't. We had a male cockatiel a few years ago who could whistle show tunes and he said a few words.
Good luck with her.
