Great! Is this your first? Male or female? Have you named him/her?

thx well today he was sleeping in his box and it was getting alittle late for him to run out and play.... opened the cage to check on him and he was gone! he squeezed through the bars :/. lucky i found him because he coulda been in any room down here. hes in a smaller cage now till he gets bigger... dont wanna lose him again. and btw im pretty sure im going with the name teddy. just a quick question... how long do hamsters usually take before they figure out how to use thier wheel?

>> squeezed through the bars << A Syrian squeezed through the bars?! Anyway, usually took mine several days to start getting the hang of the wheel, but some like it more than others.

Better be careful with the cage as it is too big.
Some pick up the wheel faster than others. I just think some seems interested, and others don't.
Best to. . . Teddy?

Phew, I'm glad you found him and he's okay. Also good that he's not in a rabbit cage anymore! Is he using his wheel yet? I remember when I first got Roach a few years ago, he didn't quite know how to use the wheel. He didn't run on it. He used it more like a swing! Once he got it going, it reminded me of one of those swinging pirate ship rides at the amusement park. Too cute.
