And Katie and her family!! The story: in December my boyfriend moved into Katie's apartment/townhome development. . . . I thought it would be cool to meet each other, but as I/we would be invading her space, I thought that it was up to her to make an overture. Well, Luke proved to be the impetus, and so yesterday we walked over for a visit! Luke is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute! And Katie's parents are super-nice! (We here all already know that Katie is super-nice too! ) It was a delightful visit. My boyfriend, dog nut that he is, was in heaven! Luke was very willing to be held and played with (though he is also good at amusing himself). His coat is so very soft. He seems perfectly healthy--it doesn't seem that the vaccine issue harmed him in any way. We look forward to hopefully seeing Luke now and again and watching him grow!

LOL >> we walked over for a visit! << So near, yet so far for half a year! Glad you had a great time. And still, no one has photos.

Luke looks like the photos posted.
Sheesh, have some patience. You know that Katie isn't one to quickly post photos. And I'm not into posting photos of myself.
And not everyone pulls out their cameras as readily as you do!

As long as you took some, which no one said they did.
Now let me post up some photos from yesterday in that other thread. I am a little slow in getting them up! ;D

Is that Corporal Page I cited in the other thread (Memorial Day) your relation?? I found two Page's - one from MO and one from PA. I think the former was a PFC.

I responded to the PM--yes, the PA Page is my uncle.

That's cool. Obviously, I found the posted photo of you from you-know-where ages ago, and sent it to Katie. We agreed your evaluations of that image were misplaced indeed. So your visage will not be unfamiliar. nor will her dad's nor Josh. Nor the backyard tree she fell out of! Never seen her mom, though. Someday check out her glass/ceramic animal collection. It must be gigantic. - - - - - - - If I find more on CPL Page I will post it. Never knew someone whose relation was KIA in a major famous battle. I did have an uncle, much missed, who was WIA during the Bulge in 1944. Bernie. Much missed. Shrapnel wounds, but not the cause of death decades later.

I do not understand what you mean by your second sentence. Katie said she only had Hollie's sketch of me to go on. Thanks. I had no idea that he died in a famous battle. Given how little that side of the family talked about the past, it's a wonder we know anything. A few of us cousins compared notes when my aunt died, and so collectively we know a little. For instance, we know that the marriage was to make things right after an unintended pregnancy.

Well, I can't spell either. Or type. I corrected the sp's in the above post. Maybe it makes sense now. You once long ago challenged me to find an online image of you, and said challenge was accepted! >> we know that the marriage was to make things right after an unintended pregnancy. << Whoa. But better than the other option. - - - - - - - - - I posted in the other forum with more details about CPL Page. He was KIA during a very dramatic desperate major engagement. I also asked there about the body. Recovered?

Hey you two, sorry I wasn't on. Thank you for saying that about my parents and myself, Robin. We thought you and your boyfriend were very nice and, as I told my mother what you said right now, that it felt like we've always known you. You were nice, sweet, funny, and so was your boyfriend. We did take pictures and I have to ask Josh how to put them on the computer to them upload them. I know how to do one part, but not the rest. He'll, I think, be here tomorrow so we'll ask him then. We all can't wait to see you both again! It was also funny to see you both walking back and we waved to each other. It wasn't the backyard tree, but the front one. Our backyard isn't looking too good though as some blasted kids keep tearing down the tree branches. Haha about the glass/ceramic collection; I recounted it the other day and found out I miscounted earlier. So I have close to 300, not yet that number however. Now to switch avatars and head for bed. I have 2hrs before waking up and taking him out to go "potty".

>> some blasted kids keep tearing down the tree branches << Call the cops. Or put a "Beware of Dog" sign on your door. Weird two internet people are neighbors. You can both keep me posted on the NJ primary. I have never heard this many TV and radio ads ever for a NJ election, and this is only a primary - Lonegan vs. Christie. I guess they all think Corzine is very vulnerable. I assume Luke is not housebroken?? If not, is he in a confined area? You know the deal.

Call the cops. ^For seven or ten year olds? No thanks, we'll just keep calling the office and maybe they'll do something eventually. Weird two internet people are neighbors. ^I think it's kinda cool. I assume Luke is not housebroken?? ^No, not fully but he's doing well. He goes on his puppy pads and they say after he eats, plays, sleeps, or naps take him out immediately which we do (if you have a hard time remembering when just put those letters together and what do you? Haha--ESPN). Also he go by the door if he wants to go out; he's very smart! If not, is he in a confined area? ^No, he has the whole downstairs until we go to bed then he's in his crate.

Oh. I thought you meant malicious teens around 16. Just sic the dog on the others.
>> Weird two internet people are neighbors. ^I think it's kinda cool. <<
Weird in a cool sense, I mean.
I assume after training he will have the run of the house. Don't trip on him. I am constantly watching where I walked around here, for obvious reasons.
Wonder how much he barks. Yapyapyapyapyap? Or something more melifluous?

Weird in a cool sense, I mean. ^And I mean cool as in neat! ;D
I assume after training he will have the run of the house. ^No, he won't be upstairs. Four people have advised me, and after long thought they're right, that I shouldn't have him upstairs just in case my allergies go haywire on me. My room should be a retreat area. When my allergies subside, we'll see then.
Don't trip on him. ^We don't. We always tell each other to watch out when he's near us.
Wonder how much he barks. ^Cotons are not known to be yappers. That's one of the best parts about them, they only bark when they see something then stop or to play a bit.

>> just in case my allergies go haywire on me. My room should be a retreat area. When my allergies subside, we'll see then. << Ah! Wise, as you have neither attic nor basement to retreat to! There was a story on TV a while back that many older people get injured tripping over pets who want to be them and get under their feet. >> Cotons are not known to be yappers. That's one of the best parts about them << That's good. I keep thinking of this famous actor when I read their name: LINK HERE

Weird two internet people are neighbors. To clarify: I don't live there. My boyfriend does. I'm an hour and 15 minutes away, on the other side of the state. (I'm also 1:15 from Brooklyn.) I visit when I can. Katie did have a part in his moving there. . . . he was looking at various places, including her complex, and he asked me to ask her what she thought of it. She didn't scare him away! Luke will end up being a 15-20 pound dog--about the same size as the dog I had growing up, who was too big to trip over. But he was a poodle, with long legs--Luke's legs aren't very long for the size of him, so he might be a bit more of an obstacle.
