Excitement is in the air all over the place. Black and Gold everywhere you turn and the beer flows like a river during this time,so we are staying in to watch the game. I am definitely rooting for the Steelers, but if we lose I will be happy for another team to enjoy the celebration. Let's Go Steelers!!!

I have to be honest, I didn't expect this article to be so interesting. I liked it alot. You have to stop and have some respect for an animal that can dig such a large burrow that foundations collapse. We have a groundhog that roams our property. We think his burrow is a couple yards up the street from us. He's a big roly poly guy with grayish-brown fur. We are not very fond of him because he eats our garden any chance he gets. Last year we didn't plant a garden because of him. The past two years we have had problems with our grass being stripped from the yard. Maybe he's been digging for grubs. He has definitely established a place in our neighborhood.

Hi Toshi. Nice to have a new member around. Everybody has different ways of doing things, but I'm sure with time and patience everything will be fine. If you have a Robo Dwarf hammie, they aren't really meant to be handled, but other dwarfs are definitely trainable. Your fear of being bit is absolutely normal. Hammie bites hurt for sure, but I don't know if a hammie can sense fear. Always make sure before touching your hammie that your hands are clean and free of any smells, especially food. With my one Syrian hammie I have to wear gloves because she has a mental disability and always bites. Just try and remember that this little baby is much more afraid of you than you are of it. I wish you lots of luck. With time and repeating your steps, you can be best buds with your hammie. Keep us informed please. Hope to hear some good news soon.

I know I'm late commenting on the Balkan Hound but I can't help myself. He reminds me alot of my Beagle. What a beautiful and regal looking dog. I miss my beagle all the time. He was so fun loving and devoted and NOISY. He had an awesome howl. And he was so good at getting into things that normally should have killed him. I had a huge chocolate chip cookie that he got ahold of, and it was put out of reach, so I thought. And even worse, he got into a can of coffee grounds, that I remember cleaning up for days, ughhhh, and his heartbeat was crazy. We had to put this up and block that off and lock the garbage can in a whole other room. He broke into a bag of halloween candy and ate wrappers and all... but I would love to turn back time just to have him here again. See, i'm going on and on about Cody and i'm supposed to be talking about the Balkan Hound but thanks for the memories.

Who are you cheering for in the super bowl? Packers or Steelers? Packers are a no nonsense team. I hope the Steelers bring their A game. Let's go Steelers!

One bad thing that the Steelers do all the time is when they are in the lead they get lazy and cocky. They almost lost this game because of it too. The Jets played a wonderful game and gave the Steelers a run for their money. Good luck to the Steelers in the Superbowl. They better not take their possition for granted and play like they did against the Jets, or they will surely lose.

Don't you worry, I always enjoy looking at your pictures. I love the dolls/maniquins. I bet some of them are truely vintage. Downtown Pittsburgh decorates their windows, but nothing as spectacular as New York. The pictures of St. Patricks Cathedral took my breath away. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Congratulations on your new little girl. Those Ovo cages are horrible to clean. I have my Robo girls in a ten gallon tank with a side hanging water bottle, bowl, little wicker hut, little plastic hut and a removable wheel. Also a heavy metal screen on top so the birds can't get in there. I pick up the girls every blue moon, but they are very squirmy and I have got bitten on the lip while trying to kiss their noses. So now I just reach in and pet them a little. The chance of dropping them is great when you hold them too. She will bring you great joy.

I hope you feel better real soon. Hot tea, chicken soup and a hot bath or shower with a Vicks rub down to top it off. Sorry you're sick. Shame on the political people.

Pittsburgh was the City of Champions in the 70's and the early 80's. The Pirates, Penguins and Steelers were all in winning situations, but recently the Penguins and Steelers have been the top teams. The Pirates....I don't know what to say other than they stink! As far as Mr. Fred Rogers goes...he was an awesome person. A person that Pittsburgh could really be proud of. I watched him throughout my childhood.

Any Steeler game is big news in Pittsburgh whether it's the first of the season right to the last game. Steeler fans are crazy people in a good way. Everywhere you look there is a sea of black & gold. Even as I post I'm wearing a superbowl shirt from 2006 when they went to Detroit, and a pair of Steeler logo lounge pants. I love them whether they are winning or losing, but winning is a little more fun. Speaking of weather...it's supposed to be only 16 degrees for the game, and with the stadium sitting next to the river who knows what the wind chill will be. Maybe if they show the foot fetish video on the Jumbo Tron it will warm everyone up. What do you think? Ewwww!
