It's neat to see rare breeds in movies and not just common dogs like Labs, GSD, Goldens, etc.
They may be trying to make him be a wolf dog, but the one on the cover is a purebred German Shepherd Dog ^Yes, some movies do do that and sometimes you can tell right off the bat that it's not a wolfdog or some other breed/wild animal.
The Sandlot with possibly a Mastiff ^Possibly? That dog is an English Mastiff.
White Fang the dog looks like he may be a pure wolf, maybe a husky ^I read he was a wolfdog.
White Fang 2: Myth of the White Wolf with a malamute or Siberian husky or Alaskan husky or wolf hybrid or something ^He looks wolf/Malamute to me. Huskies aren't built like that, sturdy I mean, Malamutes are.
This must be an old list because I did not see these movies and they had dogs in them: Because of Winn Dixie Harry Potter 2 or 3 Eight Below Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure Dawn of the Dead Men in Black 2
I wonder what others are out there that they missed or haven't put in yet. Otherwise good list.

Redbone? Named after this singer? ^Ah, you got me there. I always figured it was named because of its color, it's red. This is a dog - not an "it". ^Then the article should've said "he/she". That means what? ^Post partum, I'm guessing she had surgery. Sounds like it anyway. DOG MOVIES SITE you may wish to bookmark ^I will check it out, thanks. Because of one book I saw at a store, I remembered a favorite movie of mine and got it all because of the dog actors they were talking about. I never realized what Toto was! ^Really? Oh yeah he's a Cairn through and through. But they did not say what breed. ^"The Hound of the Baskervilles" have been done so many times people use different breeds. I've heard of GSD and Wolfhounds, so it could be different breeds. The Grinch's dog (in the movie) was a mix? ^Yes. Ever see that one? ^No, I haven't seen "Dog of Flanders", but as soon as I saw the cover I knew what the breed was. What the heck is that?? ^Oh is that what it was!! Awesome and thanks, I always figured he was a rough-haired Ibizan Hound. The Portuguese Podengo is a cute breed, this is them here: www.dogsindepth.com/hound_dog_breeds/images/portuguese_podengo_h06.jpgIt sounds like they didn't want anyone to know the breed of this dog so anyone can just go out and buy it. Sounds also like the movie "Because of Winn Dixie", they didn't release what the dog was either although I heard he was a Picardy Shepherd. This is them here: www.dogcafe.net/uploaded_images/picardy-shepherd-dog-707740.JPGThe dog in your avatar looks really more reddish than other redbones ^He's a puppy, he'll grow into the adult color. Don't worry I don't put up avatars that are a different breed entirely!

Well.........I guess I'm in the category for liking the "cute" breeds, Robin. And also I meant by that it's not a cute looking dog for Christmas, but true true Shar Peis and Bulldogs (any dog with a pushed in snout) isn't appealing at all! Editing now, yes I've heard of the Hungarian Pointer. I believe it's called something else, yes it is just looked it up! The Vizsla!

That's great that Mallory is doing better now and I wonder why the vet said not to drain again. Maybe it takes a toll on them. I'm sorry to hear that Mallory has tumors and isn't feeling 100% all the time. I will continue to pray for her and send Chewie over to watch over her. Her pictures are soo adorable! Tell her I said, "Hi" and that "I hope she's feeling better." As for the tumors Tom, my vet told us, when we took in Harriet, that dwarfs are to small to perform an operation on them.
