Every time I watch an episode of the SPCA's and they always say "so and so got this much time and this amount to pay." I always think to myself that that isn't enough. We do need harsher penalties on people who harm animals.
And those people need to be watched closely in the future too, because if they're harming animals, who's to say they won't go onto humans next?

Besides it being "a day that will live in infamy." It was also when the Japanese "awoke a sleeping giant."
I thank everyone who has fought and died and has continued to fight and die for our freedom.

They are nice. I like the Old English Sheepdog in the one photo.

This is from learning from others, but I heard that AKC breeders can actually charge more for the puppy than regular breeders of the same breed. So I say go to an outside source for her Boston, she might've gotten the dog cheaper. But also make sure the breeder isn't a BYB (aka Back Yard Breeder).

Well a lot of designer breeds "work". The only reason I don't like it is because if someone searches hard enough they can find that same exact dog in a shelter or rescue. There are millions of dogs waiting to find good homes and now people are breeding more dogs? It's not fair to the others waiting. That's how I feel.

Most people who buy dogs as presents get dropped off at shelters almost the next week, so shelters don't really like it when people get any animal for a present.
But her kids are old enough to take care of the dog and it's for her too and you vouched for them, they'll probably do well with the pup. Happy searching for them.

Well people have preferences. I'm not a fan of anyone buying a puppy for a Christmas present, she's not doing that is she? Unless it's for herself.

I saw it; I like Wire Foxes for some reason. There were a lot of cute breeds in Best in Show, except for the Affenpinscher. Anyway, Purina dog shows are okay. The best is still Westminster.

Yes, a lot of Foxhounds look alike. I don't know of any Boston Terrier breeders, your friend could check online and e-mail the breeders to see if they're good or not, that's what we did with Luke's breeder.

www.westminsterkennelclub.org/2013/show/news/newbreed_100512.htmlBeen checking the internet to see if the Westminster is adding any new dogs for 2013 and so far I found out that they've admitted two. As far as I can tell the Russel Terrier is another breed. They aren't a shorter Jack Russel Terrier (am asking others on another forum). As far as I can see the JRT's name was changed to Parson Russel Terrier. And I have seen and guessed this breed, the Treeing Walker Coonhound. I saw two of them at the Animal Welfare Association Walk this year. They're cool dogs. Enjoy the read.

Jill is very cute!! She doesn't look chunky in those shots; one of the sentences on Petfinder was that dwarves don't like to be handled. I beg to differ!
And Cannibal? Ew, glad you changed the name!

Whoa, that's cool Robin!! I mean not cool for the poor mouse, but circle of life right? We saw one, I believe it was the male as it looked small, get some straw for the nest.
Robin--can males help out with the nest? Or is it only the females who do that?
